Beautiful and Modernized Laundry Room Floor Renovation in Chicago, Illinois

Our client wanted a modernized laundry room floor, and we had just the product they needed!
  • "Gravel"-Colored Epoxy Flooring
  • Old Stick-and-Peel Tile Removal
  • Modernized, Sleek Finish
  • Polyaspartic Top Coat

After a successful garage floor renovation during the summer, this client wanted to bring the same durable, stylish flooring to their laundry room. The existing floor was covered with old peel-and-stick tiles that were worn, outdated, and starting to lift. Removing these tiles revealed a concrete subfloor that required repair and preparation before we could install the new coating system.

Old Stick-and-Peel Flooring

We started by carefully removing the old tile and thoroughly prepping the concrete, ensuring a smooth, even surface to allow the coating to bond properly. Our new flooring system not only restored the integrity of the surface, but also provided a sleek, modern look that’s easy to clean and maintain. The client was thrilled with the transformation, which upgraded their laundry room into a more functional and visually appealing space while offering long-lasting durability against moisture, stains, and daily wear and tear.

Construction

We used a polyurea base coat to repair imperfections and create a strong, flexible foundation that resists cracking and moisture. For the finish, we applied 1/4” "Gravel" color chips, which added a clean, neutral aesthetic with added texture for slip resistance. Finally, we sealed the floor with a polyaspartic top coat, providing exceptional durability against stains, abrasions, and chemical exposure while giving the floor a glossy, professional finish.

Final Speckled Epoxy Flooring

This new flooring not only gave the laundry room a fresh, modern upgrade but also ensured the floor can handle the demands of a high-traffic, moisture-prone area for years to come.
